Blogging and/or Vlogging

My recent obsession has me glued to the computer (and my phone) more often daily. I underestimated what YouTube is truly about. It's not just about funny cat videos and people failing at life, it's much more! It's a giant community of people who have been using YouTube as a medium to express their individuality as well as entertain their fans. One such YouTube personality, who basically took my YouTube virginity away was Phillip DeFranco. He's hilarious, intelligent, and very entertaining to watch. He introduced me to the other YouTube personalities which I subscribe to. Other people I follow are: Nat from Community Channel, Craig from Wheezy Waiter, Justine from iJustine, JP from Mystery Guitar Man, Ray William Johnson from Equals Three, College Humor, and HD and Husky who do Starcraft commentaries.

These people have inspired me to begin my own vlog, one which I will share with you guys so can watch me act a fool. This vlog will be interesting to update especially during my escapades in Japan. As my friend Roger told me during one of my first recordings: "you honestly think you're interesting enough to do this?" to which he started laughing. I don't think I am so incredibly interesting to deserve hundreds if not thousands of viewers. However, I do enjoy the concept of taking people with me wherever I go, and I can share my thoughts with them.

I don't want this for the fame, I only want to do this for the kicks. Plus, I think it would be cool to look back at myself in the future and laugh. Oh! On a morbid note, maybe this could be some way I can leave my mark on this world. You know, after I die and junk. Maybe my friends would watch these vids of me when they miss me. =]

What do you guy think about this?

Also, I'll be posting links to these YouTube celebs on my blog, just so you can see what I'm talking about. Maybe you'll like them like I do?

Phillip DeFranco
Nat
Craig (This guy reminds me of Victor =] I love ya Vic!)

I'll let you guys find the rest of them. These people have made me laugh and think, so maybe you'll like them too!

Giant Footstep

I am about to take a huge step in my life. One that will relieve a certain kind of stress. But with this step comes a great wave of uncertainty. Will I be able to meet my goals? This picture, I feel, is appropriate to the situation. I'm stepping foot into a cold and harsh world. One that is unforgiving as mother nature. I've thrown caution to the wind and realized that I need to take a risk- for my own sanity as well as for my own success. The finishing line is within my reach. I feel like I've desperately fallen behind and I'm scrambling to finish in order to begin my life. This decision was necessary, and in retrospect, has made a huge difference in the way I feel about myself. The future is suddenly brighter and this smirk certainly won't fade anytime soon.

America's Backyard

(This is my short review of a bar I visited in Fort Lauderdale)

America's Backyard is definitely a great place to visit if you're in the greater Fort Lauderdale area. Upon entering you might feel as if a cameraman is going to bombard you with drinks and cash to flash your tits, as well as ask you to get onto the bar and dance. Yes, this place is grungy (in a good way) and is devoid of all traces of class; considering that female employees are scantily clothed walking around with test tubes. Some even with entire bottles of alcohol ready to pour down any customer's throat... that is, if the customer is willing. The music is eclectic and you might even find yourself rocking out to "Hey Mickey you're so fine- etc etc". The entire bar is located outdoors, which must be a nightmare if it begins to rain. I also counted about 4-5 bars in a place that is just about the size of two and a half Walgreens put together. The employees are your typical club employees who do not really give a crap about you or who you are, and treat everyone the same. They are also not shameful enough to keep their clothes on, however there is no nudity. You might even find yourself getting drenched as employees on stage (or bar tops) will bombard its customers with ice cold water, riling up the ambiance.

Jen said as we were approaching the bar that she better not be in earshot of any establishment playing "Sweet Home Alabama". Surely enough that song found it's way onto the DJ's hands and well, she raged. Lol!

But in all seriousness, America's Backyard is a fun place and has a southern feel to it. I theorize that a couple of Girls Gone Wild videos must have been shot there. Yeah, its that kind of place.

(I'll be posting a link to a small video I took of the place)

Hope this makes it... 

Testing

Well, look at that, I can post through my email. I have a feeling that we're going to be great friends! Lol!

Well...

I've decided to give this a shot. See where it takes me. This is my attempt to make some sort of chronicle of my life; whether that means traveling, reviewing video games and movies, or even taking an introverted approach to blogging. In other words, whatever I am in the mood for. =] So without further ado, lets go!
